Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor in the Business Analysis Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where I teach operations and supply chain management at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. I earned my Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Alabama, where my dissertation, Concurrent Sourcing: Theory and Behavior, was co-advised by Dr. Sharif Melouk and Dr. Nickolas Freeman.
Research
I work on supply chain optimization, transportation and logistics — building mathematical models of sourcing and routing decisions under uncertainty, and studying how well people actually make those decisions. My publications and current projects are listed on the research page.
Teaching
I have been lucky enough to gain experience as an instructor and teaching assistant on graduate and undergraduate, on-line and in-person courses (see my CV for the full list). A large part of the reason I wanted to pursue my PhD was because of the opportunity to teach. From help sessions to lectures to creating assignments and exams, I am very cognizant of the responsibility and privilege of participating in the learning process. I am also passionate about helping business and training their current and future leaders. Therefore, I try to incorporate my industry experience and make analytics and optimization a central part of my instruction.
Other
In 2024 I completed the Cal State Student Success Analytics Leadership certificate program, leading a team on the optimization of student success metrics through course scheduling.
